At Grace Bible Church Kapolei (GBCK) our mission can be summed up in three simple words: faith, connection, and life.  Each word holds deep meaning and truths about what it means to be a follower of Jesus.

Simply put, we desire to develop our faith, deepen our connections and devote our lives.

Specifically, as followers of Jesus, we want to develop our faith by intentionally growing.  This means developing spiritual growth habits such as bible reading, prayer, service, outreach, and giving.  We also develop our faith by coming into community with others at the weekend services and weekly small groups.

Further, we follow Jesus by deepening our connections.  This means we are to build relationships with others within the church by developing friendships that often develop into a sense of ‘ohana, or family.  Also, we intentionally deepen our connections with friends and loved ones who do not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.  We believe that we are God’s “plan A” to bring the Gospel message to others, and this done through our relationships and connections with non-followers of Jesus.

Finally, we follow Jesus by devoting our lives to Jesus and to his mission.  This means we stay committed despite life’s difficulties and challenges.  This means we understand that God’s mission is bigger than any one person or organization, therefore, each person is needed to participate in the mission.  Following Jesus is about participation not observation.
