GBCK started holding a public service in January of 2006 as an extension campus of Grace Bible Church in Pearl City.  During this test phase, the service grew to an average attendance of 85 people.  After this nine-month “incubation” period, GBCK was oficially planted on September 24, 2006.

Since its launch, GBCK has grown to an average weekend attendance of 200 in just under three years.

Our mother church, Grace Bible Church, has a rich history in Hawaii.  Started in 1958 in a small building in the back of Kalihi Valley with a handful of people, GBC has grown over the years and continues to pursue its mission of planting churches, international missions, and next-generation ministries.  Pastor Norman Nakanishi is GBC’s senior pastor and the regional overseer for Hawaii-based Every Nation churches.
